Plant Biostimulants Increase the Agronomic Performance of Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) in Northern Apennine Range

Lavandin (Lavandula x intermedia) belongs to the Lamiaceae family and is a shrub cultivated in Mediterranean region for essential oils used produce cosmetic, aromatherapy, pharmaceutical ingredients. Nowadays, interest plant biostimulants rising due their ability increase biomass production sustainable way. The scope of present study was assess effects two biostimulants, one based on hydrolyzed proteins (FITOSIM®) seaweed extracts (FITOSTIM ALGA®), cultivar Grosso consecutive years three different farms, located Italian Tuscan-Emilian Apennine Mountains. A difference efficiency treatments among farms shown, probably age. In 2020, FITOSTIM ALGA® increased inflorescence fresh weights (+35%), while FITOSTIM® enhanced stem total (+23% +22%, respectively) compared untreated control. 2021, both dry (+47% +38%, respectively), also improved (+34%). did not affect chemical composition oils. Our results indicate as supplement management practices, enhancing Lavandin’s performance mountainous agricultural areas.
